5 Different Ways To Eat Pizza

Written By: happycamper

Pizza – it’s one of the world’s most loved foods by kids and adults. It’s easy to make and can satisfy even the most difficult taste buds. But you don’t always have to eat this classic the same way. You can of course alter the toppings and ingredients you use, but why not try eating it in a different format entirely? Enjoy the same great ingredients combined in different ways. Try these after you get home from a long day of school and start your evening off on a fun note.

Here are 5 different ways to eat pizza!

calzoneCalzones

This one is basically a pizza that the dough covers entirely. First you’ll need some dough, top it with sauce, cheese, and your favorite toppings. Then you’re going to want to cover the top with more dough. Use your fork to create the edging around your calzone so it stays closed. Don’t forget to poke a few little holes in the top so it can release steam. Brush with a little bit of butter. Bake until golden. Marinara is a great dipping sauce for calzones!

Garlic Bread Boats

This one is quick to make! Grab a loaf of garlic bread and separate halves. Top with some sauce, cheese of choice, and your favorite toppings. You can do this with mini loaves of garlic bread so everyone gets a side of a loaf or you can make a full loaf and then cut it up into smaller pieces to share. It’s an easy appetizer too if you make the full loaf and cut it up to share.

pizza bagelPizza Bagels

This is a fun lunchtime way to eat pizza. Toast your favorite kind of bagel. Then top it with sauce, cheese, and your favorite toppings. You can do both halves as separate bagels or you can combine them into one big pizza bagel sandwich.

Pizza Skewers

This one is a little different, but it still uses all of your favorite pizza ingredients. For this one, use bread bits (a lot of times you can find these premade for stuffing), add a cherry tomato or tomato slice, add a cube of cheese, add a chunk of pepperoni (from a link rather than a slice), and add your favorite veggies. Coat with a dash of olive oil and then top with your favorite spices. You can throw these on the grill for a minute to warm it up. Just don’t let it sit for too long or your cheese might melt off the skewer and into the grill.

Pizza Bread Cups

These are the perfect bite-size pizza that can be packed for school lunches. You’ll need a muffin tin and some dough. Line the muffin tin with the dough at the bottom and around the sides, and lightly brush some butter on it. You’re forming a cup, so it should cover all sides of the muffin tin. Toast in the oven for 10 minutes at 200 degrees until they’re crisp. Then pull out and put a spoonful of sauce in the bottom of the cup. Top with cheese and toppings of your choice, and then top with a little more cheese. Bake in the oven at 350 until everything is melty, usually about 10 minutes. Let cool and then serve up!
